It's that time again-- Giveaway Day! Here's what I have for you at the Sweat Shop:
Some fat quarters I've been saving/hoarding from Anna Maria Horner:
Also, a pillow I made. Here's the front (careful viewers will see some AMH in here, too):
And here's the back, made out of super soft corduroy:It's on a 16" pillow form and it's an envelope back, so I suppose if you hate the pillow you can just use the form.
Now, the details:

ReplyDeleteOh, I would love to win! AMH is my alltime favorite fabric designer :)
ReplyDeleteSomething interesting about me. Actually there is nothing too interesting about me: I have my own little shop for bags on Dawanda (little sister of Etsy) and I sell mainly bags over there. I am a fabric addict and my fabric closet is way too crowded but somehow the world doesn't stop creating wonderful designs so each week it gets cosier and cosier in there.
I can't throw away any of my fabric scraps, I use them for making cards, quilts or boxes to keep my scraps :) Anything bigger then a thumbnail gets to be kept, a little creepy, but I just can't throw away fabric (anything else is fine!)
Thank you for this opportunity, I promise not to hoard this fabric and use it in my next quilt :)
Johanna
Something interesting about me is that I was in a waterskiing show when I was in college! It was on a lake where we were always afraid there were snakes in the water so we never wanted to fall!
ReplyDeletewell, my daughter said something interesting yesterday! We were outside making a wreath, and it was chilly and she was tired so when we were walking back inside she said (in an exasperated voice) "my energy is out of breath". I thought that was an apt way of describing it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway, love the pillow!
Gorgeous pillow! You are so talented! I'm not sure this is that interesting, but I got hooked into sewing and quilting in 2007 and became obsessed. Before that, I couldn't sew a button on. Wait, I still can't sew a button on! But I can sew and quilt! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is on my list to make. You could save me some time. Yours is lovely!

I got on one of those home reno shows, only to have them paint my living room two horrific shades of green and replace my sofa with three separate chairs. The funniest part was they made me pose with power tools, but I wasn't really allowed to touch them for insurance purposes. (They must have known I'm clumsy).

I love that pillow and the fabric! My birthday is coming up on Dec 26th. I'm not so hot on it being so close to Christmas but hey, you get what you get right? I'm not sure how interesting I am but I think it's interesting that I will sing anything. Really, anything. Jingles, songs from kid's shows, anything I hear in the store or on the radio...my kids just love it.;)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fabric and pillow! You already know I am a children's librarian, but I have worked there since high school - 13 years!
ReplyDeleteThe pillow looks great! I want to try that technique in a banner some time. I live in the Pacific Northwest, where it is green year round, and outdoor activities are limitless. BUT...I still think the Midwest plains (where I grew up) is the most beautiful landscape in the world!
ReplyDeletewhat a great giveaway. thank you for the chance to win....and thanks for coming to my bog as well and entering. good luck
ReplyDeleteNot love the pillow...nonsense! Both the giveaways are great and I hope I win!! Interesting about myself: I've been to the Amazon three times.

ReplyDeletegreat giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLet's see... something interesting about me... I used to hold a commercial drivers license because I drove campus buses in college.
Something funny and related is that I'm perpetually starting projects and leaving them unfinished. I need a serious deadline or for what I'm making to be a gift in order to stay on track. Otherwise, I'll go to the store to pick up batting to finish one quilt, and leave with yards of fabric to make another. But it keeps me busy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!

Something interesting about myself--- When I was nine, I won a turkey and a pack of beer from a local radio station. I was sad when they'd only give me the turkey because I was nine (I had no idea what beer was then, just wanted to win it all!)!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I am a total AMH nerd, and that pillow is absolutely gorgeous. An interesting thing about me...we're moving across the country (CA to GA) tomorrow. And I'm surfing giveaways online. Gahh!

ReplyDeleteSomething interesting about me, huh? Well, I learned to sew when I was four, my grandmother taught me how. I love the color tangerine orange and my husband and I are attempting to buy our first house.
I am a woman and have a twin brother who doesn't look much like me. All our life when people who have met both of us hear that we are twins they ask, "Are you identical?"
